When is the Last time You Heard...
"We Love You" is a rock song written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, first released as a single in the United Kingdom by The Rolling Stones on 18 August 1967, with "Dandelion" as the B-side. It reached the top ten in Britain, peaking at #8, but only made it to #50 in the United States, where "Dandelion" (which reached #14) was promoted as the A-side. The song features uncredited backing vocals by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

FBI — New Internet Scam
There is a new “drive-by” virus on the Internet, and it often carries a fake message—and fine—purportedly from the FBI.
“We’re getting inundated with complaints,” said Donna Gregory of the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), referring to the virus known as Reveton ransomware, which is designed to extort money from its victims.
Reveton is described as drive-by malware because unlike many viruses—which activate when users open a file or attachment—this one can install itself when users simply click on a compromised website. Once infected, the victim’s computer immediately locks, and the monitor displays a screen stating there has been a violation of federal law.
The bogus message goes on to say that the user’s Internet address was identified by the FBI or the Department of Justice’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section as having been associated with child pornography sites or other illegal online activity. To unlock their machines, users are required to pay a fine using a prepaid money card service.

Justice Dept., FBI to Review Forensic Evidence in Thousands of Cases
The FBI will
review thousands of convictions in the largest study in its history to find out
if faulty lab work led to wrongful convictions, officials say.
The focus is on
work done by hair and fiber specialists at the FBI laboratory, which does
forensic work for local and state as well as national law enforcement agencies,
The Washington Post reported. The agency plans to review all cases dating back
to at least 1985.
"The Department
and the FBI are in the process of identifying historical cases for review where
a microscopic hair examination conducted by the FBI was among the evidence in a
case that resulted in a conviction," Nanda Chitre, a Justice Department
spokeswoman, said in a statement Tuesday. "We have dedicated considerable time
and resources to addressing these issues, with the goal of reaching final
determinations in the coming months."
The Innocence
Project, which uses DNA testing to help clear the wrongly convicted, and the
National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers will help with the review,
Chitre said.

Use Caution When Buying From eBay!
For the second consecutive time, I've had a problem with eBay sellers playing fast and loose with the facts. And both of these are alleged "Top Sellers."
The first time this fraud posted the following for his merchandise: "Brand New/sealed, has tear in shrink wrap." and "Like New: An item that looks as if it was just taken out of shrink wrap. No visible wear, and all facets of the item are flawless and intact."
The item was obviously used and re-wrapped. The media was scratched, had fingerprints and wouldn't install. I returned the item as requested by eBay and will supposedly be getting a refund. We shall see.
By the way, the original ad is STILL up there! Will the seller rip someone else off too? No way to tell.
Today I received diabetic test strips. Here's the pic from the ad:
I received 50 test strips, not 100 as pictured. After receiving this response from the user: "I have 1 0r 2 boxes of 50 each...sorry the picture is misleading. the $15.00 is for 1 box."
So this clown admits that the picture was misleading. I opened another resolution case on eBay, but I can't return these because I need them.

Here come the sons: Will Beatles' kids form own band?
Sgt. Pepper may have recruited new members to the Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Four sons of the four Beatles may be looking to form a group of their own.
James McCartney has reached out to Sean Lennon, Dhani Harrison and Zak Starkey to create the next generation of The Beatles, the BBC reports.
In an interview Monday, the 34-year-old musician, who’s released three EPs on his own, said embracing the legacy of the Fab Four has worked to his advantage so far, thus he wouldn’t be opposed to a reincarnation of the ensemble.
But not all the sons may agree. “I don't think it's something that Zak wants to do,” James remarked. “Maybe Jason [another of Ringo Starr's sons] would want to do it. I'd be up for it. Sean seemed to be into it, Dhani seemed to be into it. I'd be happy to do it.”

Davy Jones Dead at 66
Davy Jones, the lead singer of the pop group The Monkees, died Wednesday at the age of 66, his publicist confirmed to Fox News.
"The only thing we can do is confirm that he
has died of a heart attack at Indiantown, Florida this morning," Helen
Kensick told Fox. "We will have more later."
The local medical examiner released a statement Wednesday confirming that they had been notified of the singer's death.
"The District 19 Medical Examiner's office
has been notified of the death of Mr. Davy Jones," spokeswoman Rebecca
Shortridge said."We are currently evaluating whether or not the medical
examiner's office will take jurisdiction."
Jones, who last performed Feb. 19 in Oklahoma, formed the Monkees in 1966 with Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork.
Their biggest hits included "Daydream
Believer," "Last Train to Clarksville" and "I'm a Believer" and they
also had a television show.
After the show went off the air, the group eventually disbanded but Jones continued to perform on his own.
Jones, a native of Manchester, England, is survived by his wife, Jessica, and four daughters from previous marriages.
