Shari, plus lighthouses are a prominent feature in Rhode Island, which would give the license plate an ironic twinge. Very clever. ( I needed to spell it out for Edam! ;) )
There are lighthouses wherever there are shorelines. Speaking of which, you're close enough to the shore right now, why don't you take a long walk off a short pier? (I just made that up)
When you consider the thousands of miles of shoreline on the east coast, there are relatively few lighthouses. Certainly there are a much great number of lighthouses in Rhode Island and New England, and other communities where fishing and whaling were a primary source of revenue.
You are closer to the shore than I am, so why don't you take your walker for a short walker down a shorter pier.
Thank you for proving my point! R.I is barely the size of your beloved Garfield and has 21 lighthouses compared to to the massive bosom of New Jersey protruding proudly into the Atlantic, yet New Jersey has fewer headlights per ocean front mile than Rhode Island.
Your desperate attempt at always being right is really quite humorous. First it was all of New England, then just RI, and then it was the number of lighthouses per square mile. Class is dismissed alright.
Anyone can try to be consistenty right. I, on the other hand, actual am consistently right. Then again that is not much of an accomplishment when I am correcting your mistakes ... :)
Pick a winner...
ReplyDeleteYou have WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY too much time on your hands! And please, Don't Be Bitter.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I like the first one, top left.
Being a fan of lighthouses, I pick the Shore to Please motif.

ReplyDeleteNavasink is my fave on the east coast. Point Reyes [and the cheeses] on the west coast.
ReplyDeleteEdam,

Shari, where is Navasink? ( I am way too lazy to google ...)
ReplyDeleteNJ has 24 compared to RI's 21.
ReplyDeleteAnd since you're near Red Bank, you probably have more opportunities than I do.
